One of the greatest films of all time, Roman Polanski’s 1974 noir classic “Chinatown” is set in 1930s Los Angeles with Jack Nicholson playing a private detective who uncovers a scandal involving murder, incest and corruption regarding the local water supply. A sizzling Faye Dunaway adds to the excitement. The movie will be screened in the all-digital domed theater in the Bishop Planetarium as part of the South Florida Museum’s Film Friday series. Each week there's beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Electric vehicles and other eco-friendly technologies will show their power at this free event dubbed “Electrify the Island” that’s part of National Plug In Day and taking place on the grounds of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium on City Island. Electrify the Island will feature a plug-in electric vehicle (EV) expo, ride-and-drive sessions that allow visitors to test EVs, including cars from Tesla, Ford, Chevrolet and Nissan. There will also be vendors focused on sustainability and energy efficiency, educational booths, food and a special discount at The Aquarium at Mote.
