The theme for the 57th Annual Englewood Pioneer Days, one of the most beloved local celebrations, is "Englewood Goes Hollywood." Highlights include Cardboard Boat Races, the Shipwreck Dance, Park Festival/ Car Show and the 57th Annual Pioneer Days Parade. Read more.

The Sarasota Sailing Squadron will host the 67th Annual Labor Day Regatta Saturday-Sunday with 300 competitors expected from across North America to embark on Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The event is free for the public to attend. Read more.

- Country Fest at Snook Haven
Snook Haven will host its “First Annual Country Fest” on Labor Day with a lineup of local favorites performing everything from country classics to today’s pop country and Southern rock at the riverside bar and restaurant. Headlining the First Annual Country Fest is the Grayson Rogers Band (pictured). Evan Steele and Johnny Country, Back Roads, Critter Ridge, and Kim Betts and the Gamble Creek Band will also perform.
Cabana Inn will turn into a little Yasgur's farm — without the mud — to mark the 44th anniversary of Woodstock (Aug. 15-17, 1969) on Saturday night (Aug. 31). Hosting the mini re-enactment is Kettle of Fish, with special guests Greg Poulos (of The Venturas) and Sudie Brattli. The free show begins at 10 p.m. (The Cabana Inn is at 2525 S.
