Little Grey Hat Productions is working on its upcoming production of Michale Frayn's "Cophenhagen." The play, set in 1941, involves two physicists talking about atomic power and whether the Nazis would acquire it.
Director Heiko Knipfelberg is seeking an actor to play physicist Werner Heisenberg, who is described as 30-40 years of age, "a passionate and brilliant young German physicist who is caught between his desire to unravel the mysteries of the atom and the need to keep that knowledge out of the hands of the Third Reich."
The production is planned for a variety of venues from mid-November through mid-December. The cast also includes Mark and Diana Shoemaker.
Auditions will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 1 (Labor Day) in the Small Theater at Manatee School for the Arts, 700 Haben Blvd., Palmetto. For more information or to schedule a time: littlegreyhatproductions.com
