Following June's competition off Siesta Key Beach, the Sarasota SUP Race Series moves inland Saturday with more stand-up paddle board action at Nathan Benderson Park. Host to the 2017 World Rowing Championships, Benderson Park was designed specifically for flat-water racing and is one of the few locations that can guarantee flat water. The park even has wave attenuation systems in place to keep board wake to a minimum. It costs $35 and $70 to register for the various divisions but it's free to attend.

7:30 a.m. (check in); 9:15 a.m. (start of elite race) Saturday; Nathan Benderson Park; 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota; 704-4878; sarasotasupseries.com
