Realize Bradenton and the South Florida Museum resume their Friday night "Music & Movies" programming this week with a screening of "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song," a 2007 documentary, and an accompanying music performance by Matt Waldon and Friends, on July 25.
The evenings begin at 6 p.m. with the music performances and are followed by the film screenings at 7 p.m. at the Bishop Planetarium, 201 10th St. W., Bradenton. The events continue into September, with "Muscle Shoals" and by David Smash on Aug. 1; "Twenty Feet from Stardom" and the Glee Club on Aug. 8; "The Last Waltz" and the Billy Rice Band on Aug. 15; "Elvis: That's the Way It Is" and by the Wright Band on Aug. 22; "Neil Young: Heart of Gold," music to be announced, on Aug. 29; "Shut Up & Sing" and the Brooke Bonderer Band on Sept. 5; "End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones" and the Tommy Tyler Band on Sept. 12; and "Thelonius Monk: Straight, No Chaser" with by Intuit on Sept. 19.
