/

Sean Chambers COURTESY PHOTOSinger and guitarist Sean Chambers' outstanding "The Rock House Sessions" has recently been nominated by Blues Blast Music Magazine for the year's "best rock blues album" award.

A rich, rewarding mix of fiery guitar workouts and slow burners spotlighting Chambers' emotive vocals, the album was smartly produced by Reese Wynans, the keyboardist who grew up in Sarasota and went on to find fame with with Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble.

In additions to the spot-on keyboard contributions by Wynans' and great playing by an assortment of guests, Sarasotan and former Gregg Allman Band member Chaz Trippy peppers the album with his creative percussion work. Chambers, a favorite at Ace's Live, grew up in Tampa and lives in Fort Myers.

9 p.m. Saturday; Ace’s Live, 4343 Palma Sola Blvd., Bradenton; $7 advance/$10 day of show; 795-3886; aceslivemusic.com.
