Tampa-based jam-bluegrass band The Applebutter Express, whose main members Kyle and Shannon Biss met while working together at the Desoto Mall in Bradenton, recently announced via their Facebook page that they will have an original song, “Hey My Brotha," featured in the film "The Good Lie." It stars Reese Witherspoon and is described by IMDB.com as a drama about a "Sudanese refugee (who) is taken in by a straight-talking American woman in their new home in the United States." The film is scheduled to have a nationwide theatrical release Oct. 3. For now, check out The Applebutter Express on Saturday when the band returns to McCabe’s Irish Pub in downtown Bradenton.
