17th annual Corvettes on the Circle — 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday (May 3). St. Armands Circle Park. Sponsored by the Skyway Corvette Club and the St. Armands Circle Association. The show will include all model years of Corvettes from 1953 to the present. Vintage Circus Posters Forever stamps — 11 a.m. Monday (May 5). The new postage stamps will be unveiled during an interactive first-day-of-issue ceremony featuring a Ringling Bros. ringmaster, clowns and a concert by the Ringling Bros. bell wagon, which will be the first time it has been seen, or heard, in Sarasota in more than 30 years. The event is free and open to the public. The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, in front of the Ca’ d’Zan, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota.

Whittling enthusiasts — 7 p.m. Monday (May 5). The May meeting of the Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island will be about decoys and duck carving, led by Bruce Weaver. Weaver began his career on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, starting with violin repair, then building boats and furniture and eventually moving on to the fine art whittling ducks and decoys. He will bring some of his decoys, tools, and wood blanks and go through the entire process of carving the birds, as well as some painting techniques. Riverview Kilties Percussion Concert — 7 p.m. Tuesday (May 6). A elebration of the art of percussion, featuring the Kilties drumline playing traditional drums and cymbals as well as not-so-traditional such as paint cans and garbage lids. Riverview Performing Arts Center, One Ram Way, Sarasota. $5.
