Uncle Kracker definitely has a strong fan base in Bradenton. He filled Joyland in 2012, headlined a highly successful DeSoto Seafood Fest last year and returns to Joyland for another performance Friday. Former DJ for his hometown pal Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker went country  a decade ago when he appeared on the massive Kenny Chesney hit (and video) "When the Sun Goes Down." Since then, the performer born Matthew Shafer has coauthored Kid Rock's 2008 party sing along "All Summer Long," released his own catchy hit "Smile" in 2009 and most recently, issued the 2012 album "Midnight Special."

7 p.m. Friday; Joyland, 5520 14th St. W., Bradenton; $15 (advance), $20 (door); 756-6060; joylandcountry.com.
