Strip-teasing to show tunes? Why not. This month's performance by Black Diamond Burlesque is a tribute called "On Broadway" with striptease and variety acts performed to popular songs from musicals like "Guys and Dolls," "Hairspray," "Wicked" and "The Wiz." Lady LaLa and Vixen St. James are also performing a Broadway show tune challenge to determine which performer knows the most show tunes and can sing a few bars as the audience shouts out their favorites. Nilla Bean, a burlesque star from St. Peterburg, is this month's special guest and she will be performing a belly dance number.

Black Diamond Burlesque's big show Friday will likely be the final performance by the sexy, Sarasota-based troupe at McCurdy's Comedy Theatre's current location on Tamiami Trail, as the venue is expected to complete its move to downtown Sarasota in June. "Having performed on the legendary McCurdy's stage dozens of times over the last three years, we are a bit emotional about this being our last performance in this location, but we look forward to what the new locale has in store for us," says producer Laura Daniel Gale.

9:30 Friday; McCurdy's Comedy Theatre, 3333 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota; $30, $40 (ringside); 925-3869; mccurdyscomedy.com.
