Sarasota Open

/

sarasota openIf you’re a tennis fan, then the Sarasota Open is a slam-dunk (or ace, we guess): eight days of serious tennis at the Longboat Key Club featuring some of the best international tennis players around contending for $100,000 in prizes. This year, however, organizers have added musical entertainment beyond the grunts and twangs that accompany powerful forehands, thanks to daily concerts after the players leave the court by local bands like Ben Hammond, Spark Notes, Kara Nally and more. The concerts are included with your tickets, so plan on staying courtside even after the players hit the showers.

Saturday-April 20; Longboat Key Club, 3100 Harbourside Dr., Longboat Key; $5-$1,000; sarasotaopen.org
