The event is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22 at Five Points Park in downtown Sarasota. Two outdoor stages will be the site of 28 performances by local school groups and youth programs from performing arts organizations.

Student art also will be on display in the rotunda of Selby Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota.

"One of the top priorities of the alliance is to build support for arts education programs in our schools," said Jim Shirley, executive director of the Arts and Cultural Alliance. "We hope this showcase of the amazing artistic talents in our schools will inspire the community to ensure the arts remain an essential part of a complete education for our students."
