The Gasparilla Music Festival in downtown Tampa continues to grow, with the third annual event featuring an exciting, eclectic lineup that includes psychedelic-rock concert favorites The Flaming Lips headlining Saturday and New Orleans “supafunkrock” star Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews headlining Sunday. Andrews, you might recall, put on a spectacular show at the 2010 Sarasota Blues Fest.

In addition to plenty of acclaimed national acts, Gasparilla also features two local standouts. South by Southwest-bound, indie-folk duo Good Graeff performs 12:30-1:15 p.m. Saturday on the Higher Ground Stage at Kiley Garden. Psych-rock band Sons of Hippies, also a national touring act from Sarasota, will be on the Creative Contractors Stage at Tibbetts’ Corner from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

10 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday; Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Dr., Tampa; $40 single day advance tickets for Saturday, $30 advance tickets for Sunday, $60 two-day advance tickets; (813) 708-8423; gasparillamusicfestival.com.
