Mixologists at the Cottage are getting crafty with their bourbon. An example: The Berry Bourbon Smash, which combines Angel’s Envy (Kentucky straight) with fresh fruits and herbs.
2 ounces Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon
1 ounce simple syrup
2 sprigs mint
3-4 fresh blackberries
Muddle blackberries, lemon and mint. Combine with bourbon and simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain and pour into a short glass with ice, and garnish with mint.
