Hail Mary at the Blue Rooster.

Indulging in buttermilk waffles and fried chicken during the Blue Rooster’s Sunday Gospel Brunch Buffet calls for one cocktail: The signature Hail Mary—a Bloody with all the sweet and savory accoutrements.

INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Bloody Mary mix of choice
1½ ounces Absolut Vodka
1 Big Daddy Shrimp, boiled in Old Bay Seasoning and wrapped around pickled okra
1 piece cooked applewood smoked bacon (as a stir stick)

MIXOLOGY
Wet the rim of a 16-ounce Mason jar with lemon or lime juice, and rim the edge with a combination of Old Bay Seasoning, sugar and sea salt. Fill the jar with ice and set aside. In a separate shaker, combine Bloody Mary mix and vodka, and shake gently. Strain the mixture into the Mason jar. Garnish with shrimp-wrapped okra and bacon stir stick.
