Living history doesn't get much more exciting than the Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour. The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine O Nine” WWII Heavy Bomber, Consolidated B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft” WWII Heavy Bomber and P-51 Mustang fighter will fly into Venice Municipal Airport on Friday for a visit and stay through Sunday. It's a rare opportunity to visit, explore, and learn more about these rare, national treasures of aviation history.

Attendees are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out or, if you have the courage and the cash, experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of actually taking a 30-minute flight aboard these rare aircraft. Really brave and willing to spend big bucks? Get some “stick time” in the world’s greatest fighter, the P-51.

2-4 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Venice Municipal Airport, 150 Airport Ave E,, Venice. For up-close viewing and tours through the inside of the aircraft it's $12, $6 (children under age 12) and free for WWII Veterans.  Flights of 30 min. on either the B-17 or B-24 are $450 per person. P-51 flights are $2,200 for a half hour and $3,200 for a full hour. For reservations and information call 800-568-8924 or visit collingsfoundation.org.
