Cigar City Hunahpu's Day tickets sell out online in 2 hours

/

Hunahpu's Imperial StoutTickets to Cigar City's March 8 Hunahpu's Day sold out online in two hours today. The Tampa craft brewery hosts an annual festival around the brewery-only release of its Hunahpu's Imperial Stout, a strong stout aged on chocolate and chili peppers.

Last year more than 9,000 people turned out to the event, so for 2014 Cigar City has to limit the attendance to 3,500 to conform with Tampa regulations. They changed the format of the festival too. In past years there was no admission and beers pay-per-sample. This year attendees have to pay $50 to get in, and all beer tastings are included. Bottles of Hunahpu's will be sold for an additional $20 each and if any are left after the festival they will go on sale to the general public. In past years there were bottles left, but I don't think they lasted long.

If you wanted to go but didn't get in on the online sale that started at noon, Cigar City is also selling tickets to the event at its tasting room.
