It's time again for the Beertopia charity fundraiser, which returns to Gold Coast Eagle Distributing (7051 Wireless Court in Lakewood Ranch) on Saturday from 6:30 to 10 p.m. It's presented by the Eye Center Vision Foundation and the Hernando De Soto Historical Society.

Tickets, $50 in advance and $60 at the door, let you sample more than 80 craft beers and eat food from local restaurants. Kettle of Fish will be playing, and there will be silent auctions and raffles.

Proceeds from this year's event, the sixth annual, will help the Eye Center Vision Foundation give eye exams and glasses to needy Manatee County children, according to a news release.

Of course, you must be 21 to attend.

You can buy advance tickets at the historical society's offices, 910 3rd Ave. W. in Bradenton. Visit desotohq.com or call (941) 747-1998 for more information.
