Midday Advent organ recital – 12:10-12:40 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 18). The Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Palm Ave., in downtown Sarasota, will conclude its series of Advent recitals with guest organist Mary Mozelle, who has served in such churches as The National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., St. James Episcopal Cathedral in Chicago, and Knowles Memorial Chapel at Rollins College in Winter Park. Tampa's Downtown on Ice – Enjoy ice skating at the area’s only outdoor ice rink in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, open daily through Jan. 5. 600 N. Ashley Drive.
