A holiday-themed comic mystery at Lemon Bay Playhouse

It’s not looking like the brightest of Christmases for Private Investigator Cactus O’Riley. She’s got too much work to do, deals with unwanted attention from a deputy district attorney while the man she really wants, her secretary, Fred, is a bit too attached to his mother. All that to deal with and then a couple of fugitives burst into her office seeking help.christmascactus

That’s the set up for the holiday mystery comedy “A Christmas Cactus” by Eliot Byerrum, opening Dec. 4 and continuing through Dec. 22 at the Lemon Bay Playhouse, 95 W. Dearborn St.

Bob LaSalle directs a cast that includes Kim Fisackerly as Cactus, Rick Moore as Fred and Lee Lawler as Fred’s mother. LaSalle also plays an illegal alien in the show.

Tickets are $18. For more information: 475-6756;
