3rd annual Jingle Paws Jubilee – Noon-5 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 1). Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota. The family-friendly event includes more than 60 vendors, face-painting for kids, raffles and food. The Doggy Diva of WTMY-AM will emcee a holiday pet costume contest. "Advent Lessons and Carols" – 5:15 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 1). Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota. A light reception will follow in Gillespie Hall. No tickets or reservations are required for this free event. Temple Beth El "Annual Downtown Hanukkah Celebration" – 6:30 p.m. Monday (Dec. 2), on Barcarrota Boulevard in front of the old Manatee Players building in downtown Bradenton. This is the annual lighting of the Menorah. There will be food and beverages for sale but not alcohol. 755-4900.

SCF Holiday Concert – 8 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 3). An assortment of holiday music performed by the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Chamber Choir, Concert Choir and Guitar Ensemble along with Sarasota Pops Orchestra and Gloria Musicae in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. "Holiday Potpourri!" will feature "Carols and Lullabies of the Southwest" by SCF Chamber Choir and Gloria Musicae; "A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas" by SCF Concert Choir and Sarasota Pops Orchestra; and "Vocalise, Opus 34" by Guitar Ensemble and guest artist Martha Lopez, soprano. $8 ($4 for students and SCF employees). 752-5351; scf.edu.

Midday Advent organ recitals – On Wednesday, Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Palm Ave., in downtown Sarasota, begins its annual offering of midday Advent organ recitals with guest organist Nancy Siebecker, artist and instructor at the Wausau Conservatory of Music in Wausau, Wis. Held each Wednesday throughout the season of Advent, the 30-minute recitals begin shortly after noon at 12:10 and end at 12:40 p.m. Free and open to the public.
