The family-friendly 13th Annual Anna Maria Island BayFest features a food court with island restaurants and vendors, Island Fine Arts, Jewelry & Crafts, live music, AMI Fitness Kids Zone, LaPensee Classic Car Show plus wine, beer , rum runners and more. The festival is held each year at the corner of North Bay Boulevard and Pine Avenue on Friday and opens up to all of Pine Avenue in Anna Maria on Saturday.
Rhonda Kay, whose fabulously funky folk art adds to the Old Florida charm of the famed Star Fish Co. in Cortez and numerous other high-profile businesses along the Gulf Coast, will be among the artists present at BayFest.
"Rhonda works with found wood to create funny tiki bar signs, drinking saying art, inspirational work and liberated mermaids," writes Marty Fugate in the introduction to his recent interview with Rhonda.
Steve Arvey (Friday); Scott's Garage and Shotgun Justice (Saturday), plus many more great local acts are performing. Here's the complete music lineup.
