Kris Kristofferson brought a new sense of poetic, everyman truths to country and popular music in the early 1970s with such classics as “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” “For the Good Times,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” and numerous others including the underrated classic "Shipwrecked in the Eighties" (see below) ; cementing his legacy as one of the most influential singer/songwriters of the past century. In January, Kristofferson released the excellent, poignantly candid album “Feeling Mortal” and his acclaimed acting career continues with an appearance in “Dolphin Tale 2,” scheduled to hit theaters next year.
