Witty and irreverent, cigar smoking and scotch drinking, celebrity comedian Ron White will be performing Oct. 31 to benefit Sarasota-based charity Brides Against Breast Cancer.  The event dubbed “Dia de Los Muertos” will be a Halloween night of comedy for a cause at the 200-seat, historic NOVO 535 event space at 535 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North in St. Petersburg.

Mexican born actor and comedian, Alex Reymundo, featured in the Comedy Central special “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy,” will open the show. Joining White in support of Brides Against Breast Cancer, is the charity’s national ambassador, singer-songwriter, Margo Rey, whose band will also perform.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer, a national non-profit whose “Nationwide Tour of Gowns” helps fund free programs and services for cancer patients and their families throughout Florida and nationally and is affiliated with Moffit Cancer Center.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The show begins at 6:45 pm. At 9:30pm a “Dia de Los Muertos” and Halloween costume party, NOVA WEEN 7, gets underway with costumes encouraged and Ron White will be a judge. Event tickets are now available for $75 along with a limited amount of VIP tickets available -- giving fans a meet and greet with Ron White and Margo Rey -- for $200. Tickets can be purchased calling 1-877-721-4673 or going to www.bridesabc.org/diadelosmuertos.
