One of the most highly-anticipated gangsta rap debut albums of the 2000s, straight-out-of-Compton Kendrick Lamar’s 2012 disc “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” impressed critics and the buying public album alike, just missing the top spot on the Billboard 200. The album includes the hits “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Poetic Justice,” “m.A.A.d City” and the latest one, about telling a woman, in not such a nice way, “Don't Kill My Vibe.”

Alas, Lamar will not be performing at Tampa's MidFlorida Amphitheatre as part of radio station 95.7 The Beat's Birthday bash, which has been canceled.
