Florida Blue Blues and Music Festival in Sarasota to have local singers perform

/

logoThe Sarasota Film Society has formed a partnership with The Florida Blue Blues and Music Festival for the local musical portion of this year’s festival with SFS selecting four singers from Lady Sings The Blues to join Big T & The Tornadoes live on stage.

Each singer will need to provide SFS with a performance video and two songs that they would like to perform. SFS will select six singers who will then be invited to perform live with the Big T Band at Ocean Blues on Tuesday, October 1. The final four will then be chosen by an SFS panel of attendees.

The four ladies that are selected at Ocean Blues will join the The Florida Blue Blues and Music Festival on October 26. Big T and The Tornadoes will open the local set. Joining the Big T Band will be local favorites Greg Poulos and Ally Couch of The Venturas, as well as Steve Arvey, musical director and founder of Lady Sings The Blues. Each of the four women selected will perform two songs each.

Singers must submit their video by Sept. 20 to:
