Beer: Patio Pils

Brewery: Cigar City Brewing, Tampa

Notes: A rotating release from Cigar City. Nice to see another craft lager. They say it's a tweaked German pilsener. Pours a nice golden color with a short and pretty white head.  The aroma is of earthy hops and sweet bread-like notes.

It has that grape-like and sulphur quality you expect in a pils. Sharp hop bitterness and a light metallic twang.

Overall a good pils and a hoppier CCB lager alternative to Hotter Than Helles Lager, which (to be fair) is a different style. Patio Pils is perfect for hot Florida days and a great alternative to mass-produced pseudo pilseners.
