Morton's Gourmet Market (1924 S. Osprey Ave., Sarasota) is hosting its annual Celebration of Brewing Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. A $25 ticket ($20 in advance) gets you unlimited samples of dozens of beers and ciders from around the world, along with beer-friendly cuisine from Morton's chefs. Buy tickets (group discounts available) at Morton's or by calling (941) 955-9856.

A silent auction and raffle will benefit the Morton Culinary Education Fund.

I went to last year's festival and had a great time. It's held outside under a tent, so dress accordingly. Last year they had misting fans, which helped cool things off.

Another cool aspect to this festival is that it isn't exclusive to one distributor. That means you'll get a wider selection of craft brews.
