Crunch Southside's first anniversary — 4-9 p.m. Friday (Aug. 2). 3762 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota. The free party, open to the public, will include more than 25 vendors such as Complete Nutrition, Paradise Pops, GNC, Total Nutrition, Solorzano Bros. Pizza and Get Fit Fuel. There will be door prizes, a raffle, free chair massages and 10-minute stretching sessions, games. All proceeds from the raffle will go to InStride Equine Assisted Therapy. Music on Main — 6-9 p.m. Friday (Aug. 2). Kettle of Fish will perform at this free monthly event on Lakewood Ranch Main Street. Proceeds from beer and wine sales will benefit the Rotary Club of Sarasota. Guests can bring chairs, but coolers are prohibited. Village ArtWalk — 6-9:30 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 2-3). The Village of the Arts' galleries, studios and restaurants will be for open browsing and buying. The Village is in downtown Bradenton, bounded on the north by 9th Avenue West, on the west by 14th Street West (Tamiami Trail), on the east by 9th Street West and on the South by 16th Avenue West. Barbecue, Beer & Bluegrass — 5-10 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 3). Hosted by Bridge Street Merchants on Historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island. Wine and mixed drinks will also be available. Live music from Stumble Creek Station. Organizers suggest using the free island trolley which runs until 10:30 p.m. With more than 80 spots throughout Anna Maria and a stop at Bridge Street, it is the best way to travel and not have to worry about parking. Halfway to St. Patty’s Day at McKechnie Field — 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8. McKechnie Field, Bradenton. Join the Bradenton Marauders as they take on the St. Lucie Mets. Free Irish beer sampling presented by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing. It’s also Thirsty Thursday with $1 sodas and $1 select drafts all night.
