3rd annual Ringling College Film Screening — 10 p.m. Thursday (May 23). Growler's Pub will screen three short films produced by Ringling College of Art and Design students: "Pierrot," "Brevity's Siren" and "Attorneys at Flaw." Free. 2831 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.

Tow to Go — Friday through Memorial Day (May 27). If you or someone you know is thinking of drinking and driving, this program offers drivers a free tow and ride home. The concept, serving Sarasota and Manatee counties since 1998, was created by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing president/owner John Saputo. Historic Downtown Village "Fourth Friday" celebration — 5-9 p.m. Friday (May 24). Village shops, studios and restaurants will be open for an evening of food, music and shopping, with a theme of the Roaring 20s.
