Celebrate American Craft Beer Week at Mr. Beery's

/

Gulf Gate craft beer bar Mr. Beery's (2645 Mall Drive, 343-2854) is marking American Craft Beer Week this week with a bunch of events. Here are a few of them:

• On Tuesday at 8 the bar hosts a beer and cheese pairing, featuring eight brews from Bell's Brewery in Michigan (including Black Note stout) and artisanal cheeses from Morton's Gourmet Market. Morton's cheesemonger and Cindi Curtis from Bell's will be on hand to talk about the pairings. The events costs $35. More info is on the event's Facebook page.

• On Friday, starting a 3, the bar will be serving several rarer beers from Cigar City in Tampa and Green Flash in San Diego, including their Candela barleywine that was brewed for last year's Great American Beer Festival. Don't worry, at 11 percent, this beer ages well. Learn more at the event's Facebook page.

• Saturday features the Mr. Beery's debut of four to six drafts from Jacksonville's Bold City Brewery.

Check out Mr. Beery's Facebook page for all the events.
