HGWT_High_Road_AleFollowing the successful debut of Bradenton band Have Gun, Will Travel's craft beer High Road Ale, the group's new single of the same name and an accompanying multiple-act concert at Postcard Inn in St. Pete Beach last month, it's time to tap the fresh brew by Tampa's award-winning Cigar City Brewing and newly formed Rock Brothers Brewing Company back closer to home.

On Friday, the High Road Ale Sarasota Launch Party will take place at Mr. Beery's with the hoppy, 5.5 percent alcohol-by-volume High Road pale ale for sale on draft at 8 p.m. and an acoustic performance by Have Gun, Will Travel starting at 9 p.m.

"We sold five kegs in three hours and the concert, weather, everything was perfect Sunday," said Kevin Lilly, a founder of Rock Brother Brewing Company. "This is going to be more intimate event in Sarasota, a meet and greet where the band gets to perform and enjoy their band with friends and fans."

Following the Friday launch, HGWT's High Road Ale should start being served locally at World of Beer Sarasota, Ocean Blues in Sarasota and Lost Kangaroo Pub in downtown Bradenton; but you probably want to call ahead to make sure it's in stock.

"It truly is a great product," Lilly said. "People love it. We're going to be entering it into national beer competitions."
