Charlotte High School Vocal Department's spring concert — 7 p.m. Thursday (April 25). 701 Carmalita St., Punta Gorda. Donation of $5 (adults), $3 for children. All proceeds benefit the Vocal Department to purchase music for future concerts. The evening will include medleys of tunes from "Les Miserables" and "Sister Act," a choral arrangement of Garth Brooks' "We Shall Be Free" and more.

Piano Friends — 1:30 p.m. Saturday (April 27). Special guest Russian virtuoso pianist Eleonora Lvov. Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church, 4826 McIntosh Road, Sarasota. The public is invited to this free event which also features amateur and professional pianists who meet monthly and play their favorite pieces. Refreshments follow. De Soto Heritage Festival Grand Parade pre-party — 4-6 p.m. Saturday (April 27) at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3200 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The free party will feature bounce houses, face painting, food, and music. Located on the parade route, Trinity also will offer reserved parade seating for purchase. Venice Concert Band — 7 p.m. Monday (April 29). Under the direction of Bill Millner, the band present its final concert of the season at Venice Community Center, 326 S.Nokomis Ave. The program will include a variety of music, including marches, show tunes, classical compositions and more. Keith Farmhouse — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday (May 1). During the regular, weekly Farmers Market, the public is invited to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month at the Keith Farmhouse at Phillippi Estate Park, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. The exterior of the 1916 farmhouse has been historically rehabilitated, but the interior is still a work in progress. Self-guided tours and costumed docents will be available. Several county historical organizations will be on hand with educational information. Light refreshments will be served, featuring offerings from the Farmers Market. Plus free music from Kitt Moran and Trio. The Humane Society of Sarasota County will also be in attendance, with a selection of adoptable pets. farmhousemarket.org.
