U.S. Army Chorus concert canceled

The concert scheduled for Friday (March 15) at Faith Lutheran Church by members of the U.S. Army Chorus has been canceled. The Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Army made the determination at the last minute due to the sequester. All other appearances in the Sarasota area for the quartet of singers have also been canceled.

The sequester went into effect March 1, mandating across-the-board spending cuts of $85 billion.

Ticket holders may return their tickets to Faith Lutheran Church at 7750 Beneva Road in Sarasota between 6 and 7:30 p.m. at the church on Friday or between 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Sunday (March 17).
