Magician Gypsy Allure of Black Diamond Burlesque.

Now, here's something you don't see everyday.

On Saturday, Gypsy Allure, a magician and member of  popular Sarasota performance troupe Black Diamond Burlesque, will be blindfolded and behind the wheel driving a vintage car up Main Street.

She's set to arrive at noon in front of The Gator Club to celebrate the building's 100th anniversary and publicize Black Diamond's March 14 performance upstairs at The Gator.

"At 21 years old, Gypsy will be the youngest performer to attempt this trick and the first female ever," reads a statement issued by Black Diamond Burlesque.

Martin Godbey, director of the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, will be generously loaning the Black Diamond Dames a dazzling Rolls Royce Corniche III Convertible for the event.

Some of the performers from Black Diamond Burlesque will meet up at Main and Palm, in front of Clasico Cafe and Bar, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (March 9), hitch a ride in Gypsy's Rolls, and once her multiple blindfolds are in place, travel up Main Street to arrive at The Gator Club on the corner of Main and Lemon.

For information and tickets to Black Diamond Burlesque's intimate performance at The Gator Club's upstairs lounge on March 14 call (941) 228-5107 or click here.
