Smokeout: Firefighters Rib Cookoff

ribsFirefighters are experts at dealing with out-of-control blazes, but do they have the fine touch needed to manage small-scale smoke? Find out this Saturday at the Sarasota Firefighters’ Rib Cook-Off. $12 will allow you to sample eight different pieces of delicious pork (kids pay $6 for four tastes) and gives you a vote for the People’s Choice Award for the most popular ribs. Proceeds benefit the Sarasota Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund.
