A musical tribute to Dan Toler

/

Guitarist "Dangerous" Dan Toler, who died Monday (Feb. 25), had a long, storied career, beginning with Dickey Betts & Great Southern, then stints in the Allman Brothers Band and The Gregg Allman Band. He co-wrote four songs on Allman's celebrated "I'm No Angel" album (1986).

With John Townsend (formerly of the Sanford-Townsend Band), he created the Townsend Toler Band and later joined The Renegades of Southern Rock. His last group was the Toler-Tucci Band.

Here is a look back at Toler's career - music and all.
