SAY IT AGAIN
For more than 25 years, hundreds of couples have flocked to Siesta Key Beach to renew their vows with the sunset as their backdrop. Judge Becky Titus will perform the non-denominational service on Valentine’s Day at 6 p.m.; Good Time Groove – a 10-piece orchestra that specializes in big band and swing music – will provide a pre-ceremony concert from 4-5 p.m.; and after the ceremony couples will receive a commemorative certificate and enjoy ceremonial wedding cake from Beautiful Cakes by Ron.
The ceremony will take place at the Siesta Key Beach Pavilion, located at 948 Beach Road. You must pre-register to participate, by calling 861-5000.

VILLAGE VALENTINE
And while you’re out on Siesta, why not take in the Siesta Key Village Valentine Stroll from 5-8 p.m.? There will be live music, hugs for $1, free kisses at the gazebo and piles of chocolate. There will also be face painting to distract your kids, and flowers if you left everything to the last minute. Free trolley service will run from the Siesta Key Public Beach parking lot to the Village from 4:30-8:30 p.m.. For more details visit siestakeyvillage.org.

PUTTING ON A SHOW
The Hermitage Artist Retreat and visiting playwright Ginna Hoben are putting on a show at the Historic Asolo Theatre at 7 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Hoben will perform readings from her play “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” taking the audience through a year’s worth of holidays and the various romances that accompanied them. The event is free to museum members, students and same day museum ticket holders – all others pay only $5. The Historic Asolo Theater is located at 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota. Call the Asolo box office at 360-7399 or go to ringling.org for tickets.

RETURN TO ROMANCE
The people behind Chillounge Night are presenting a tailor-made Valentine's Day date package with "Return to Romance." On the grounds at the Powel Crosley Estate, the evening will be decorated with globes of light in the trees, lounge areas, food and drink (including a Prosecco bar) and a full stage set up for the main attraction -- Jon Secada (read our interview with Secada). The event costs $140-$160 per person and starts at 7 p.m. on Valentine's Day. Call 888-695-0888 or go to chilloungenight.com for tickets and more info.
