Atomic Holiday Bazaar

Yes, there's a warm glow in the air. No, it's not radiation. It's the impending impact of the Atomic Holiday Bazaar. Like gridlock and long lines at Early Bird Specials, it's one of the signs of the holidays in these parts.  Think of it as an arts and crafts show created by mutant elves with a love of kitsch and a sarky sense of humor. For all I know, it is. Just kidding. Adrien Lucas is the brains behind it. She definitely put the bizarre in bazaar -- and that's a good thing. If you've got any hipsters and edgy outsiders on your holiday gifting list, this is the place to go. Just watch out for the giant, disciplinary robot.

The Atomic Holiday Bazaar happens Dec. 10, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; and Dec. 11, 12-5:30 p.m., at Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 801 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Adults: $5 ; Students: $3 ; Kids 12 and under: Free. Saturday Night Show Admission: $10
