The wide expanse of glass walls, providing a spectacular view of Sarasota Bay and the golf course, are especially appealing at IMG Academies Golf & Country Club's dining rooms that are now open to the public. Lunch is served in the more informal Grille Room, while both lunch and dinner are served in the country club casual Riviera Room.
According to General Manager Jeff Palmer, favorites for lunch include the California Turkey Sandwich, the Angus Burger and the Chicken Cobb Salad. For dinner, an extensive menu includes appetizers, such as the Crab and Artichoke Bake and Lamb Potstickers, salads, such as Poached Pear and Tropical Salmon and a wide range of entrees including Veal Osso Bucco and Salmon Florentine. A full bar also is offered.

MAEMI PERUVIAN CUISINE
Masa Ganaja is carrying on the family tradition with the opening of Maemi, an authentic Peruvian restaurant on Main Street, Sarasota, in the space formerly occupied by Taste of Asia. Masa's family owned restaurants in Peru for more than 55 years. The new proprietor says the appeal of Peruvian food is the fusion of the best of several cuisines to create something innovative and new.
The restaurant has 48 seats and a rustic interior enhanced with an array of Peruvian artwork. Popular dishes include Ceviche, Lomo Saltado (beef with onions and tomatoes), and Seco de Cordero (slowly braised lamb). Beer and wine are available.
